we live young.

Last week I handed in my final assessment for Design Studio.
Next year I will be a third year, and that is TERRIFYING!

Third years sleep at uni, are perpetually moody/ cranky and rarely eat.
no fun!

I am excited about my third year project though...
I'm thinking I could create a TEENY TINY capsule collection
- then do branding (eg. business cards, lookbooks etc..)
- and something else that compliments it
... maybe writing? a zine?

This picture makes me think that Blair and Nate would have been cute as littlies.
I prefer the books but nothing beats Gossip Girl.

I wish I could have bubblegum pink hair!

from RUSSH online....
We first came across Mark Rubenstein's photography at Marc Jacobs' BookMarc store in Los Angeles and instantly identified with his aesthetic. We love his technique of documentary photography and so we approached him about a collaboration for AW 12.
On the day of the shoot it was all natural lighting, minimal styling and an old school 35mm camera. The magic happened in the art district of Los Angeles - Echo Park. It was so reminiscent of a scene from a Patti Smith song "Her thoughts are darting like a rabbit cross the moon ... shines of light over your hair as boys croon."

I love her dress so so so much.

I love this design!

I am in such a bad mood! What is the point in putting work into something you know you're going to get a bad mark for? Does it even matter if I spend hours on it when the result is the same as if I'd just put something together the night before?

Uni makes me seriously consider suicide.

These photos are from NZ model, Kitty Riddell's photo diary. They're unbelievable!

One of the girls at uni is basing her collection around this movie - I like it.

He was 25 years old/ He combed his hair like James Dean/ He was very fastidious/
People who littered bothered him/

She was 15/ She took music lessons and could twirl a baton/ She wasn't very popular at school/

For a while they lived together in a tree house...

In 1959, she watched while he killed a lot of people.

This is the editorial from RUSSH magazine. It blows my mind.

New York based stylist Stevie Dance first got her start as an intern for Australian publication RUSSH. Soon after that, she moved up the ranks to become fashion editor of the magazine. This summer Dance wrapped her last issue as editor and although her unique and evocative style will be missed at the publication, Dance shows no sign of slowing down as a stylist or creative consultant. Recently, FGR got a chance to ask her a few questions about her personal style, hobbies, music tastes and much more.... read more here.

Ever wondered what a mermaid would wear, should she get stranded on land? Well wonder no longer, Givenchy has the answer...
This is an amazing editorial from RUSSH. BFFs fo liiiifeeee.
I'm so happy that fashion has embraced mermaids! I think we should all invest in pearl enhanced spines and dip dyed mermaid hair.
